Officer of the Month
February, 2012
Master Police Officer Jeffrey Loock

In the early hours of January 26, 2012 MPO Loock was assisting in the investigation of a Strong Arm Robbery in the western section of Greenwich. The victim had been walking on Mill Street when he was attacked from behind by a small group of assailants. During the attack the victim was knocked to the ground and chipped a tooth. His attackers continued to strike him in the head and body before taking his I-Phone and wallet. The assailants then fled the area.

Officer Loock who was searching for the suspects came upon four suspicious people on West Putnam Avenue. After stopping these subjects he discovered evidence which connected this group to the robbery. As he and other officers continued to investigate, evidence was developed that these same suspects had also broken into several motor vehicles after robbing the victim.

“Officer Loock is one of our steady Midnight Officers and a solid performer. In this particular instance his familiarity with the neighborhood and his dedication to duty enabled us to make a quick apprehension.”
Chief James Heavey

Officer Loock is commended for his diligence.
